Update ETA

I originally wanted to create some pressure for myself to crunch and get the update out as soon as possible, but unfortunately there were more steps that I didn't account for that took time as well.

I was able to get a good amount of work done, mainly finishing the art and writing, but a two week timeframe ended up being too tight to tackle the animations on top, I'll be working on those next.

It's really hard to plan ahead of time when there are so many steps to get through, and as a developer, I have a tendency to think too optimistically about the plans I set.

But either way, I'll still keep the faster pace until I can the full update out. (or a couple of finished scenes every few days for the "doormat/chained/pet" tiers, until the update is done by the time it reaches the "student" tier.)

Gallery

Fully fuctioning gallery system has been implemented, this took the most time to finish, but I'm glad I finally got it to work. It is future proof, which means adding new scenes will be very easy going forward.

UI

Functioning UI that works automatically based off ingame values, and therefore makes updating the requirements that much easier. It also displays the player stats, which was lacking in the intial build.

Gym

Gym minigame that aims to elevate the game from being a walking simulator.

* System implementation: scene implemented within the overall gameplay loop, this is typically the final step.

* Isolated scripting: scene tested and working in a vacuum (test chamber).

Update specific additions  

  • ✔️New character portraits complete
  • ✔️A fully functional HUD, displays required stats, designed for easy future updates. (This took time to complete but was important to get right as early as possible.)
  • ✔️Timing based minigame for future scenes. (eg. foot massage, training...)
